Rhiann Houlihan: Costumier

For Wellingborough’s Castle Theatre production of ‘The One Hundred and One Dalmatians’, I served as the costume assistant and maker. My main responsibilities included creating the children’s shorts and circular skirts. For this I drafted the patterns for both items, and created toilles for fittings, before constructing the skirts and shorts the 97 young performers needed.

My other duties included taking notes and assisting the designer, Gabriella Slade, during fittings. As well as carrying out alterations on the adult costumes.
